Presentation of Parish Council Community Award
The Parish Council Community Award cup which was kindly donated by former resident and Councillor, Mrs Anna Addington, was this year presented to Jill Russell. Jill, together with her later husband George, has been a major contributor to our community for many decades. Jill was a major driving force behind the fund- raising for our Village Hall and following the building of the Hall, she sat on the committee of trustees for many years. Jill also served on the Parish Council during the 1980’s and 1990’s, has been an important contributor for various Sutton Veny publications, approached a local housing association and offered land at a reduced rate for what became Imby Close among many other legacies to our Village.
