Minutes of the meeting held on 5th October 2017 were circulated prior to this meeting and were accepted as a true record.

2712. Play Area Report – Decide schedule of works
A schedule of works resulting from the annual inspection report was decided. The Clerk will arrange quotes for the work and report back at the next meeting. Cllr Lusty also asked that a stake to secure the bin at an alternative location within the play area be arranged – all agreed subject to cost.

2713. Preliminary 2018 precept discussions
The Clerk circulated a breakdown of the current financial situation including anticipated costs to 31/03/2018. Further discussions will take place at the next meeting following receipt of the 2018 tax base figure from Wiltshire Council.

2714. Christmas Tree Arrangements
Cllr Walker will try to rearrange delivery of the tree for the morning of Thursday 30th November in order to secure more volunteers. Extra lights have been purchased and Brian Long has kindly agreed the loan of his generator and floodlights for Saturday 2nd December and the event will be advertised.

2715. Decision on second defibrillator
Cllr Lusty reported that the landlords of The Woolpack have kindly agreed the installation of a defibrillator cabinet on the pub wall, subject to the removal of the Police suggestions box. The Clerk will liaise with them. Following budget talks (2713) it was decided that money that had been earmarked for the village map in the current financial year would be used to fund the defibrillator. The Clerk will arrange.

2719. Clerk’s report and correspondence received
The dog warden at Wiltshire Council advised that they do not provide dog poo bags. Stickers have been ordered to try and discourage disposal of dog poo in the play area bin.
The Clerk will request any tasks for the steward later in the month.
The Clerk asked is anyone was aware of a contractor we could employ to clear a severely overgrown allotment.

2720. Matters raised for discussion only
Cllr Wilson reported incidents of anti-social behaviour in the village.

2707. Items for newsletter and website
The Clerk will write the report for the village hall newsletter.

The meeting closed at 19:50

The next meeting of the Parish Council will be on 7th December 2017 starting at 7:00pm in the Village Hall.
