Presentation of Parish Council Community Award
The Parish Council Community Award cup which was kindly donated by former resident and Councillor, Mrs Anna Addington, was this year presented jointly to Bob and Lynette Payne. Bob and Lynette have volunteered for so many things, both as a couple and individually in the village over many years. Bob was the Chairman of the Flower Show committee for a long period of time, during which Lynette was also an important member of the team. The duties included knocking door to door with a wheelbarrow collecting donations for the bottle stall and selling raffle tickets. Lynette very kindly maintains Pound Piece and keeps the little garden area looking well-kept with beautiful shrubs and flowers. Bob also served as a Parish Councillor and Lynette uses her floral talents to provide stunning arrangements for the Church and is one of the members of the team delivering the Village Hall newsletter.
