SUTTON VENY PARISH COUNCIL held on Thursday 7th March 2019

2893. Acceptance of apologies for absence
The meeting was adjourned to allow members of the public the opportunity to raise any issues.
2894. Open session for members of the public
A resident of the village raised his issues with planning application 19/01128/VAR
The agent representing the applicants spoke regarding planning application 19/01128/VAR
The meeting reconvened.
2895. To receive declarations of interest in accordance with the Localism Act 2011
2896. To confirm and sign minutes of the last meeting
Minutes of the meeting held on 7th February 2019 were circulated prior to this meeting were accepted as a true record and signed by the Chairman.

2897. Co-option of new member
Following a vote, Mrs Kate Phillips was invited to join the Parish Council and accepted. The Declaration of Acceptance of Office was signed.
2898. Revise HSBC Bank Signatories
The authorised signatories list was updated and the relevant paperwork will be sent to HSBC by the Clerk. Signatories will be Cllrs King, Lusty, Morris, Russell, Walker and Wilson
2899. Invitation to enter Best Kept Village Competition
It was agreed that the Parish Council will again enter Sutton Veny into the competition. The Clerk will arrange.
2900. 2019 Community Award nominees
Possible recipients of the cup for this year were discussed. Carried forward to April meeting.
2901. Chairman’s Announcements
Wiltshire Council have confirmed that a period of consultation regarding the installation of parking restrictions on the corner of High Street/Norton Road will run until 8th April 2019.
Cllr Morris has kindly agreed to take over the mowing and upkeep of the Old Chapel graveyard.
Brian Long has requested that the responsibility of the erection of the bunting be passed to the Parish Council. It was decided that whilst we are happy to make a financial contribution, it is not possible for the members to take over the erection and maintenance.

2904. Clerk’s Report
A Freedom of Information request was received for traffic data. Unfortunately, this data was not held by the Parish Council and requestor was referred to Wiltshire Council/Wiltshire Police.
The Clerk has been contacted by a company that produces village maps, it was agreed further information will be requested.
2905. Matters raised by Councillors - for discussion only
Cllr Russell offered to act as the Parish Council representative on the Village Hall board of trustees.
2892. Items for newsletter and website
The Clerk will write the report for the village hall newsletter.
