Tracing the Sutton Veny Franklins

Post by Doug McEntee » Wed Jul 17, 2002 2:53 pm

Hello - my name is Doug McEntee. I live in Burlington, Ontario Canada. I am searching for my wife's ancestors. I trace the family from William Franklin born about 1725 at Sutton Veny (married 29 April 1750-Ann Exton-born 21 May 1724 at Sutton Veny) and they had at least 8 children (William 1750)(Mary 1754) Elizabeth 1756) John 1758) Benjamin (ch: 15 June 1760) Sarah 1762) (Richard 1764) (Ann 1766).

I do not have Benjamin's wife or his marriage date or his children. Could some kind soul help me please? I am 82 years old and it is most unlikely that I could travel to Wiltshire. (I sure wish that I could, but my legs protest).

Any reply would be greatly appreciated. Doug McEntee

Doug

From the familysearch web site:

Stephen Titt (1613-1675) of Sutton Veny married Elizabeth Franklin (b 1614)

She was born in Bishopstrow but christened in Sutton Veny

Hope this helps

Philip
