I am working on a project relating to an Australian officer stationed at Sutton Veny in 1917-18.
His name - Captain Walter Hallahan 11th battalion AIF.
Killed in action France 18 Sept 1918.
Was due to marry a nurse also based at Sutton Veny at this time, in that September, but was killed in action prior to the wedding.
Am trying to trace this nurse. Have no other information! His family in Australia had no detailed information.
The name 'Jean Court' has cropped up, but do not know if this is a person or a place.
I know this is a very long shot, but this is a love story with a sad ending - a WWI romeo and juliet. If anyone in Sutton Veny now recollects older family members reminiscing about such a situation we might be able to shed a little more light. Any help appreciated.
Any information relating to Australia and the Anzacs
